Miss Ruth Anne Strzelec, age 93, of Ludington, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017, at Spectrum Health-Ludington Hospital.  She was born September 8, 1923, in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Emma (Pindak) Strzelec.  Ruth was a graduate of Ludington High School and was employed as a secretary with the Michigan Department of Education for 30 years until retiring.

Ruth is survived by  one sister: Mary Ann (Robert) Doherty of Clio, MI and one brother Thaddeus Strzelec of Lansing, MI;   four nieces, Debbie Strzelec of Lansing, MI; Diane Strzelec of Lansing, MI; Christine (Doug) Manning of Gillette, WY; Cynthia Strzelec of Loveland, CO; one nephew, Anthony Strzelec of Longmont, CO.  She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Paul Strzelec, Frank Strzelec, and Stanley Strzelec.

The Mass of the Resurrection for Ruth will be offered Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 11:00 am at St. Simon Catholic Church, with Fr. Wayne B. Wheeler presiding.  Interment will be in the South Victory Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the King Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm and Tuesday one hour prior to the Mass at St. Simon Catholic Church.
