Ryan James McDonald, 27, of Ludington, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 18, 2019.  He was born January 14, 1992, in Ludington.

Ryan graduated from Ludington High School in the Class of 2010.  Afterwards, he earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree, in 2016, from Western Michigan University where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Ryan was currently employed as a manufacturing engineer at UACJ in Ludington.  In his spare time, Ryan was an avid hunter and loved playing golf, especially with his dad.   He also enjoyed playing the guitar and disc golf.  Ryan's favorite dwelling place was Reid Wood Ranch in Freesoil.

Ryan is survived by: his mother, Julie McDonald of Ludington; his father and step-mother, Kevin and Julie McDonald of Free Soil; his maternal grandmother, Ellamae McDonald of Ludington; his sister, Morgan (Ben Paetz) McDonald; his brothers, Matthew Fitch, Kendall Thompson and Jessep Rosas; his nieces and nephews, Lillian, Layla, Aiden, Jaxon and Henryk; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his loving dog and best friend, Cooper.

Ryan was preceded in death by: his paternal grandfather, Michael James McDonald; his maternal grandparents, Harold James and Gerri Mier; and 2 uncles, Bryan McDonald and Terry Wahr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2019, at St. Simon Catholic Church in Ludington, with Father Wayne B. Wheeler presiding. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 PM, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, 309 S. Washington Avenue, Ludington, and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of Mass.
