Sally Lou Wisner, 80, of Pentwater, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born September 2, 1945, in Highland Park, the daughter of William and Marie (Hirschburger) Sparks.
Sally was a deeply spiritual and creative woman whose presence brought light and warmth to everyone she met. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family.
An artist at heart, Sally expressed herself through her creativity and inspired those around her to see beauty in everyday life. She had a fun-loving spirit, a gentle soul, and a natural gift for forming meaningful friendships. To many, she was more than a friend, she was family.
Sally’s strength, love and vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Sally is survived by: her children, April (Steve) Thompson of Mears, Tammy (Ray) Murray of Montana, and Larry (Kay Hicks) Wisner Jr. of Pentwater; her stepson, Mark (Holly) Richardson of Lansing; 4 grandchildren, Collin Wisner, Avery Wisner, Dale Thompson, and Jack Thompson; 2 step-grandchildren, Tony (Kay) Richardson and Tyler (Markie) Richardson; her sister, Marlene Freeman and numerous extended family and friends.
On August 11, 1966, Sally married Larry Wisner who preceded her in death in 2022. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; and her brother, William Sparks.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, Ludington, with Pastor John Hansen officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
