Samuel Joseph "Joe" Timmerman, 66, of Shelby, died Saturday, August 7, 2021, at home.  He was born May 19, 1955, in Muskegon, the son of Harold and Cora (Kenny) Timmerman.

Joe worked as a custodian for Muskegon Public Schools for over 20 years.  Afterward he worked in maintenance at the McDonalds in Hart.  In his spare time, Joe enjoyed hunting, playing softball, and woodworking.  He also ran his own handyman service.  Joe attended church and became an ordained minister.

Joe is survived by: his wife, Carol Timmerman; his son, Nate (Ashley) Timmerman; his daughters, Kim (Scott)Timmerman and Tonya Lavigne; his grandchildren, Jesse, Anthony, Brandi, Kaitlyn, Lillian, Aubree, Royce, Jeremy and Autumn; his great-granddaughter, Malia; his brothers, Larry (Diane) Timmerman, Carl Timmerman, and Harold (Dorothy) Timmerman; his sisters, Lou Underhill, Mary Chittenden, and Gloria Sternberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Dan Timmerman.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
