Sarah Nicole Ursiny, 22, of Hart, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at home with family by her side. She was born November 8, 1999, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Steven and Tonia (Williams) Poort.

Sarah was proud of being a para-professional at Hart Middle School, which was her dream job. She was previously a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service, and worked in culinary services. Sarah found true joy in the outdoors, enjoying many hobbies such as animals, camping, fishing, and going to the beach. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend, and she will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her.

On July 20, 2018, Sarah married the love of her life, Scott Ursiny Jr, and he survives her along with their son, Douglas "Dougie" Ursiny. Sarah is also survived by: her parents, Steven and Tonia Poort; siblings, Nathan (Hannah) Poort, Katie Poort, and Luke Poort; maternal grandmother, Sue McDonald; paternal grandmother, Cynthia Poort; great-grandmother, Marian Poort; niece, Madelynn Poort; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sarah was preceded in death by: her paternal grandfather, Larry Poort; maternal grandfather, Larry Williams; and maternal step-grandfather, James McDonald.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 10, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Hart, 3258 North 72 ^nd Avenue, Hart, MI 49420, with Pastor Ryan Vander Zwaag officiating. Following the funeral there will be a luncheon at the church and interment in Plainfield Township Cemetery, in Belmont. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72 ^nd Avenue, Hart, MI 49420. Visitation will also be held Friday, from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to a care account for her son, Douglas, in Scott's name at Huntington Bank.
