Scott James Erwin, age 53 of Whitehall, passed away December 11, 2018 while visiting in Canada.

He was the beloved son of Shawn and Don Erwin; Scott is also survived by his brothers, Don (Darlene) Erwin, Peter (special friend Julie) Erwin; his daughter, Ashley; grandson, Dustin; his nephews, Jacob and Ryan and his Veteran brothers in the Battle Creek V.A.

Scott was born on February 22, 1965. He graduated from North Muskegon High School in 1984 and entered the US Navy soon after. Scott served on the USS Kitty Hawk and in the Navy Reserve. He was a certified plumber in Philadelphia and was an all-around handyman. Scott suffered from diabetes and other health conditions. He was a kind and generous man and will be greatly missed. His family would like to thank the Battle Creek V.A. for all of the care Scott received.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
