Mrs. Sharon Marie Butler, age 67, of New Era, passed away August 20, 2016, at home. She was born November 20, 1948, in Grand Rapids to Mervyn and Ginger (Minnema) Frick. She was employed as a secretary at Kentwood Public Schools, until her retirement in 2001. Sharon loved flower gardening, hunting and fishing. Sharon and John spent their winters in Gulf Shores, AL. She loved her grandchildren. Sharon was a true sports grandma, watching and rooting for her grandchildren at their baseball and soccer games.

Sharon is survived by her husband: John Butler, one daughter: Julie (Joshua) Eagan of Greenfield, WI and one son: Steven (Melissa) Butler of Waterford, WI; three grandchildren, Jack Butler, Charlotte Butler, Maxwell Eagan; one sister: Shirley Westra of Harlingen, TX and one brother: Jack (Ellen) Frick of Hudsonville, MI; her mother in law, Dolores Butler of Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Memorial Service for Mrs. Butler will be Friday, August 26, 2016, at 11:00 am at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Hart with Rev. Ron Rickard officiating. Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Smile Train at the smiletrain.org.
