Shelly Renee Ball, 54, passed away suddenly September 2, 2023, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital, after a lifetime battle with asthma. Shelly was born September 17, 1968, in Muskegon, to Ernestine Johnson and Bob Hall.

Shelly was a kind and thoughtful person, she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything, and her favorite thing to do was spending time with them. Shelly also enjoyed doing word puzzles, scratch off lottery tickets, and watching Gunsmoke and 90 Day Fiancé. Shelly also had a great sense of humor, she loved to goof-off, be silly, and laugh with her family and friends. She will truly be missed.

Shelly is survived by: her daughters, Jameisha Ball and Chantelle Ball of Muskegon; grandsons, D'Najs Harris, Srecko Walker, and Bronx Harris of Muskegon; granddaughters, Malani Holt and Khloe Edwards of Muskegon; brothers, Jim (Linnette) Ball of Wabash, Indiana, and Robert Ball of Rothbury; sisters, Ginger (Arkie) Welch of Montague, Pamela Ball of Twin Lake, and Lori Cruz of Wabash, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and several friends from Coach Transportation.

Shelly was preceded in death by: her parents, Ernestine Johnson and Bob Hall; niece, April Welch; nephews, Matthew Ball and Tahrique Haulcy; and long term partner, Milton Lawson.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, September 8, 2023, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, MI 49461. A luncheon will be held immediately following in Twin Lake at 8031 East Lake Road, Twin Lake, MI 49457.
