Sherman Arthur Bengtsson passed away on May 25, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Sherm was born in Volney, MI, on April 3, 1933 to Fred and Myra Bengtsson. Sherm married Joyce Conkle on September 5, 1953 and celebrated 62 years together. He shared these passions with family and friends and in doing so created many fond memories and stories that he loved to share. Sherm is survived by his daughter, Karen Wisniewski; son, Bruce Bengtsson; brother, Hugh Bengtsson; sister, Bonnie Bengtsson; many caring nieces, nephews and friends. Sherm was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce and several brothers and sisters. Many heartfelt thanks to Pat and Ray Bruin who took care of Sherm during a very difficult time. Their love and compassion for him is deeply appreciated by his family. In honor of Sherm's request there will be no service. The family requests that any memorial contributions be directed to Harbor Hospice, 1050 W. Western Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49441.
