Sherman Eugene Sherwood, 74, of Interlochen, died Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Villa at Traverse Point.  He was born March 23, 1949, in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of Eugene and Marian (Solcum) Sherwood.

Sherman was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Navy, serving three years as a Radio Operator.  Following his honorable discharge, he worked as a builder and Master Electrician.  He loved hunting and being in the woods.  Most of all, he loved his basset hounds, Rags, Winston, Willow, and LynnDee who joined him through the years.

Sherman passed away with his beloved wife of 25 years, Rhonda (Drzyzga) Sherwood, by his side.  Sherman also leaves behind: his mother, Marian Churchill; brothers, Stephen Sherwood (wife Judy) and Norm Sherwood (wife Jan); daughters, Niki Trubiroha, (granddaughters Paige and Lainey), Kelly Sherwood (grandson Brody); brother-in-law, Robert (Linda) Drzyzga; and sister-in-law, Renée Seemann; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sherman was preceded in death by: his father, Eugene Sherwood.

Graveside services will be held at a later date. May you rest in peace and roam freely through eternity. Love you always.
