Obituary

Sherrie Lynn best, 59, of Saranac, Loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother and Friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 29, 2022. She was born on October 24, 1962, in Shelby, the daughter of Martin B. Best and Loretta J. Robbins-Best-Miller.

Sherrie is survived by: her children, Ryan (Sarah) Calton, Brandon (Jess) Calton and Aron Calton; her mother, Loretta J. Robbins-Best-Miller; her brothers, Norman J. Miller and Brian D. Best; her sister Nancy H. Best-Overbeck; and her many Grandchildren.

Sherrie was preceded in death by: Her father Martin B. Best; her brother, Alan M. Best; Stepfather, Clifford J. Miller; and her dog, Max.

Sherrie was a true child of the 60s. She loved classic rock, motorcycle rides, and celebrating her Native American heritage through her connection to nature. Being a grandma was one of the biggest joys of her life and she was blessed with several to share her love with. Sherrie also loved her dog, Max - her dear companion of 15 years. Max sadly moved on to the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year and it brings us peace to know he was there to greet her on the other side.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 12:00pm, at Oak Grove Cemetery, 3311 W Webster Rd, Montague, MI 49437.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the family's funeral expenses through GoFundMe.
