Mrs. Sigrid R. "Helen" Moore, age 72, died Thursday, May 31, 2007. She was born in Germany to Johannas and Pauline (Russell) Wessel. Helen married Harry Moore in Phoenix, AL on November 8, 1961 and preceded her in death on May 2, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oceana County Council on Aging. Helen came to America at the age of 19, through Ellis Island. She was an avid volunteer at the Oceana County Council on Aging and had volunteered at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility. Helen loved to travel and spend time with family and friends playing cards and socializing. She will be remembered as a woman with a great heart and always the first to help others. We will sadly miss our "Bundle of Energy". Helen is survived by her children, son, John (Denise) Trout of Hart, daughters, Helen Lazette of Temperance, MI and Judy (Bill) Chalmers of Whitehall; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friends, Jan, Jack and Sally. Along with her husband, Harry, she was preceded in death by her great grandson, Sebastian Gonzalez, son in law, James Lazette, step daughter, Paige Foster and step son, Harry F. Moore. The Funeral Service for Helen will be Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Abbott officiating. Interment in Hart Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Friday from 6-8 P.M. at the Tate-King Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Oceana County Council on Aging.
