Steven "Steve" Clarence Dean, 56, of Kingsley, died Thursday, January 6, 2022, at home with his family by his side. He was born July 21, 1965, in Traverse City, the son of Frank and Evelynne (Ingersoll) Dean.
Steve worked hard to provide for his family, working as a logger and in the oil fields. He was an avid outdoorsman; you could often find him fishing on the river or hunting.
Steve is survived by: his children, Trisha Clark of Kingsley, Willie (Casey) Dean of Kingsley, and Mason (Shanna) Stevens of Gaylord; grandchildren, Austin Chavalia, Caleb Mehs, Aryanah Mehs, Hayden Dean-Devolder, Lilly Dean, Clyde Dean, Flinn Dean, Ivy Dean, Kianna Stevens, and Kaiden Stevens; father, Frank Dean of Kingsley; sisters, Susan (Scott) Covault of Kingsley and Sheila (David) Ogan of Kingsley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by: his mother, Evelynne Dean; and his brother, Sidney Dean.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Kingsley Chapel. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, in Kingsley, in the spring. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
