Obituary

Sue A. Johnson passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, February 13, 2025. She was born October 12, 1935, in Muskegon, the daughter of Einar and Marjorie (Peterson) Strom.

She married William Kresnak in 1953, and eventually moved to Montague. She worked at Howmet for over 25 years where she met her second husband, Robert G. Johnson. Together they started a baseball card business, House of Cards. She also helped her daughter by working as a caregiver for the elderly at Pinewood Retirement Home. Later in life she moved to Tennessee, but returned to the Montague area in 2017.

Sue is survived by: her five children, Karel (John) Schram of Whitehall, William Kresnak of Lansing, Robert (Terri) Kresnak, Richard (Jill) Kresnak, and Ronald Kresnak, all living in Wisconsin; and grandchildren, Joshua, Adrian, Jami, Mary, Danny, Josh, Linda, Trevor Bly, Kali Schram, and Allison Schram; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.

Sue was preceded in death by her grandson, Casey Kresnak, who passed away in Wisconsin at the age of 39;

The family of Sue would like to express a special thanks to her caregiver Linda Mixter.

Interment services and a Celebration of Life will be held in the summer for Sue and her late husband Bob, who passed away in 2016. The burial will be held in Norton Cemetery, in Norton Shores, and they will be placed with her mother and grandfather.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
