Obituary

Sue Ann Kabot, age 72 of Traverse City, passed away into the arms of her Savior, Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Munson Medical Center.

Sue was born on April 11, 1948 in Charlevoix, MI. , the daughter of Darwin and Wilma (Veenstra) Penfold.  She graduated from Ellsworth High School, and met her husband Ronald in Traverse City. They were married on November 26, 1971 in Atwood, MI.

Sue was a member of Faith Reformed Church in Traverse City, and taught the 2yr old Sunday School class for 25 years.  She loved to bake, and spend time playing cards with family.  She was especially known for her wonderful carrot cake.

Sue is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ronald; children, Ted (Chanda), Jason (Amy) Kabot as well as grandchildren; Madison, Clarissa, Evan, Hunter, Corey, and Eric.  Also surviving are five brothers and four sisters.  She is preceded in death by both parents.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service at 1:00 p.m. at the Beacon Cremation and Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel.  Interment of ashes will be held immediately following at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Faith Reformed Church.
