Susan Whitehead, age 63, of New Era, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 26, 2014. She was the daughter of Robert S. and Betty Jane (McDowell) Whitehead of Pentwater, Michigan. Susan was born August 3, 1950, in Kokomo, Indiana. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1969, and attended Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri, and Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She was a resident of Willowbrook Adult Foster Care facility in New Era, where she received loving care while she was there.

Susan is survived by her sister, Betsy (John) Whitehead McIntyre and her niece, Molly Jane (Colin) Chelovich, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her parents preceded her in death.

The Memorial Service for Susan will be Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at King Funeral Home 2370 North 72nd Avenue, Hart, Michigan with Father Phillip Sliwinski officiating.
