Tammy Lynn Turner, age 55, of Austin, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of faith, humility, and love. Born on March 5, 1968, in Jackson, MI, Tammy was a cherished daughter of James and Barbara Margul, and a beloved sister, mother, and grandmother.
Tammy's life was guided by her unwavering devotion to the word of God. She found solace and inspiration in the pages of Holy Scripture, humbly seeking wisdom and understanding. Tammy's heart overflowed with love for her family and she treasured every moment spent with Rob, her daughter Kelsey, children Odin and Olivia and her son Kirk.
In the quiet moments, Tammy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in the company of her cat, Bella, and took solace in the pages of her favorite books and the scenes of her beloved movies and TV shows. Though introverted by nature, Tammy would occasionally venture out to art and craft shows, movie theaters, and her favorite dining spot, Mighty Fine Burgers in Texas.
Tammy's journey of faith was nurtured by her involvement in Kingsley Baptist Church. She found inspiration in the teachings of her spiritual community, embracing the values of humility, gratitude, and respect for all of creation.
Tammy's memory will forever be cherished by the love of her life Rob Turner, her children Kelsey (OJ Bates) Turner, Kirk (Jessica) Turner, grandchildren Odin and Olivia Bates, Her parents James and Barb Margul, Sisters Wendy (David) Kent, Kim Denning, brother Kevin (Cory) Margul, Nephew and Nieces Melanie, Zachary, Briana, Devin, Lauren, Avery, Harper, Numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Helen and Anthony Ludwig, Jane Ludwig, Genevieve and Walter Margul.
Education played a significant role in Tammy's life. She graduated from Lumen Christi High School and pursued higher education at Ferris State University. Tammy dedicated her professional life to serving others, she worked diligently at Michigan Indian Legal services in Traverse City, MI for a long time.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Tammy's life at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Kingsley Chapel, on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
As a tribute to her compassionate spirit, the family kindly requests that contributions in Tammy's memory be made to Pine Rest Christian Mental Health services.
Tammy's unwavering faith, humility, and love touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of devotion and gratitude will continue to inspire and guide us. May her soul find eternal peace in the loving embrace of God's grace.
