IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ted Steven
Dutmer
October 9, 1963 – May 15, 2023
Ted Steven Dutmer, 59, of Kingsley, Michigan, passed away suddenly and peacefully in his home on Monday, May 15, 2023. Ted was born on October 9, 1963, to Ronald Lee and Kay (Bodfish) Dutmer Sr. in Grand Haven, Michigan.
Following high school, he proudly served his country in the US Navy. On October 5, 1985, Ted married the love of his life, the former Janet Marie Clark, in South Haven, Michigan. Together, they settled in Kingsley and raised two children, who survive him.
He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish and hunt. He really enjoyed hobby farming and just this year built a very nice greenhouse. He also loved looking for the deals at secondhand stores. More than all of that, he loved his family! He would much rather spend time with his wife, children, and grandson more than anything else.
In addition to his wife, Janet, and children, Zachary Dutmer of Kingsley and Amber (Jacob) Warren of Traverse City, Ted is survived by: his mother, Kay Bodfish of New Era, Michigan; brothers, Ronald Lee Dutmer Jr. (Dawn) of Lawrence, Michigan, and Brad (Carrie) Dutmer of Chase, Michigan; sisters, Robin (Rick) Ferris of New Era, Michigan, and Jennifer Barnes, of Bangor, Michigan; as well as his lifelong friend, Eugene Feid of South Haven, Michigan. Ted was also the proud and loving grandpa to his only grandson, Henry Dutmer.
Ted was preceded in death by: his father, Ronald; and nephew, Tanner Dutmer.
