Telesforo Jr. "Churra" De La Paz, of Walkerville, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born on February 17, 1943 to Telesforo Sr. and Margarita DeLaPaz.

Telesforo married Oralia in 1963, together they were blessed with 5 children and 51 years of marriage until her death in 2014. Telesforo worked as a mechanic for over 47 years and within that time owned his own business for 2 years. He was a family man and loved helping others in his community through his strong apostolic faith. He was a member of the lions club and enjoyed cookouts, camping with his family and as a child he loved playing marbles. Telesforo was a people person that touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Telesforo is survived by: 2 Siblings, Margarita Garcia and Rogelio (Gloria) DeLaPaz; 5 children, David (Bertha) DeLaPaz, Diana Solis, Daryl DeLaPaz, and Donald (Jenifer)DeLaPaz; 11 grandchildren, Ruben, Monica, Jeromi, Vanessa, Jasmine, Kadell, Zamaah, Zcontae, Zekiel, Zacoby and Zavery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Oralia; son, Daniel, and granddaughter, Zaria.

A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00AM at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service 413 S. Mears, Whitehall, Michigan 49461. Visitation will take place from 5:00PM- 7:00PM on Monday June 19, 2017 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
