Teliana “Lana” Lisa Peterson, 59, passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2026. She was born September 16, 1966, the daughter of Jeffrey and Marie (Chciuk) O’Dell.

Lana was a kind, charming, and good-humored woman with a gentle heart and a smile that was ever-present. She had a way of brightening a room with her warmth, and her smile will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She found joy in the outdoors, especially when she was spending time with her husband, Dale. Over the years, they were rarely apart—whether they were bass fishing on White Lake or alongside Dale during his time at the Double JJ Rodeo, where Lana loved capturing moments through her camera lens.

She had a deep love for gardening, tending to both vegetables and flowers with care. A true creative spirit, Lana was an avid reader with a curious mind and a natural gift for the arts. She was a talented artist, a skilled painter, and had a keen eye for photography. Her family often reflected on her remarkable knowledge and her ability to answer just about any question that came her way.

Lana is survived by: her husband of 21 years, Dale Peterson; children, Ricky (Heather) Malone, Adam (Christina) Malone and Rena Nyx; step-children, Courtney (Rusty) Monroe and Kristy Howell; mother, Marie, O’Dell; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Lana was preceded in death by her father, Jeffrey O’Dell Sr.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 413 S. Mears Avenue, Whitehall, MI 49461.
