Obituary

Mrs. Thelma L. Warmuskerken, age 80, of Hart died very peacefully at home on Monday, May 31, 2010. She was born June 17, 1929 in Dearborn, Michigan to Roger and Thelma (Kinsman) Avery and had been a long time area resident. On February 23, 1946, she married Frank Warmuskerken in Hart and he preceded her in death on January 4, 1992. She then married Albert "Bud" Warmuskerken on April 21, 2001 in Walkerville. She was employed as a supervisor, until her retirement in 1993 at Atkins Manufacturing, Vermont American and Ameristar, all located in Ludington. Mrs. Warmuskerken had received her associated degree in Accounting from West Shore Community College and also had a tax preparation business. She was a member of the Scottville Wesleyan Church and was a former member of the Walkerville Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Warmuskerken is survived by her husband, Albert "Bud" Warmuskerken; her son, Pastor Roger (Marilyn) Warmuskerken; her grandchildren, Paul (Kimberly) Warmuskerken, Sherrie (Ted) Swider, Cindy (Zachery) Zost; her great grandchildren, Noah Hugh Zost, Asher Jakob Paul Zost; her brothers, Loren (Anna Lee) Avery, Gordon (Darlene) Avery, Louis "Butch" (Kathy) Avery; her sisters, Dorothy Kamrowski, Janet (Robert) Napier, Brenda (Frank) Whitaker. She is also survived by Albert's family, Chuck (Phyllis) Tanner, Michael Warmuskerken, Darlene (Marvin) Mitchell, Karen (Jim) Flanery, Sandra (Mike) Failing, Dana (Dan) McCulley, Joe Greiner, Brad (Diane) Warmuskerken, Dan (Julie) Kellogg; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 brothers in law, Earl Warmuskerken and Glen (Jeannie) Warmuskerken. In addition to her husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by 3 children, Lorne, who was stillborn, Frank Lee, who died of pneumonia at the age of two and Roger Frank Warmuskerken; her siblings, John Avery, George Avery, Ruth Galant, Florence Avery Rowlater, Russell Avery; 2 brothers in law, Edward Kamrowski and Dwight Rowlater. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Warmuskerken will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. from the Walkerville Wesleyan Church with Pastor Bob Abbott officiating. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the King Funeral Home.
