Theresa Mullins, age 69, of Kingsley, Michigan, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, with family at her bedside.  Theresa was born on September 24, 1951, the daughter of Anthony and Katherine Wisniewski of Belleville, Michigan.  In 1968, Theresa married her high school sweetheart, Gary Lee Mullins who preceded her in death in 2002.

She treasured and embraced every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her role as "Nanny."  She could be found deep in a great Danielle Steel book, searching the letters of a word search book, or playing multiple games on her iPad.  She enjoyed picking various berries and making homemade jellies for her family.  She lived life with the attitude that "Life is too short, so eat dessert first!" She always ate dessert first to make sure she had room for it before eating her meal.

She was a long-time night stock associate at Walmart in Traverse City for 15+ years before retiring in 2012.  Before Walmart, she worked at Eagle Pitcher in Kalkaska for 15+ years.

She is survived by her sister, Elaine Bonfiglio (John) of Grand Blanc; brother, Gary Wisniewski of Belleville; daughter, Tina Welke (Michael) of Kingsley; grandson, Kurtis Tulppo (Kaysea) of Kingsley;  granddaughter, Katherine "Katie" Bui (Anthony) of Bath; step-granddaughter, Autumn Welke; great-grandchildren, Aubury and Aveyah Tulppo of Kingsley; step-great-grandchildren, Henry, Anna, Tessa, and Elijah; nephew, James "Jimmy" Ashley and niece, Kimberly Ashley, both of Belleville; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, friends, and her loyal and protective dog, "Baby Boy."

She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine "Big Kasha" Wisniewski, mother-in-law, Rella Dean Mullins, and husband, Gary Lee Mullins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Kingsley Chapel.  Interment will follow in Barnum Memorial Cemetery, in Mayfield, where Theresa will be laid to rest next to her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
