Thomas R. "TBear" Barry, age 80, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020.  He was born September 7, 1940, and raised in Atlanta, Michigan, the son of Edward and Genevieve (Shephard) Barry.

On August 10, 1963, Tom married Mary Therese O'Keefe. They were married 57 years and raised four children in the Muskegon area.

Tom earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Central Michigan University, his Master's Degree from Eastern Michigan University, and worked toward a Specialist Degree from Michigan State University.

The family moved to the Muskegon area in 1966. Tom worked for Reeths-Pufffer Schools for thirty years in Central Administrative positions, rising to Assistant Superintendent.  He loved sports and played men's league basketball into his 60's.  He loved to camp and fish with his kids.  When he discovered golf, the family moved to Whitehall to live on the edge of #8 fairway of White Lake Golf Club.  The Cooler Gang at the golf course were like his family.

Tom is survived by: his wife, Mary; and his children, Brandon (Daphne), Quinn (Kelly), Jennifer (Paul) all of Michigan, and Travis (Kim) of Florida. He was extremely proud of his eight grandchildren, Killian (Art), Dylan (Morgan), Colleen (Nick), Maura (George), Ryan, Patrick, Kevin and Kathryn.  Tom is also survived by his brothers, Jim (Marilyn) of Tawas, MI, Joe (Alicia) of Frisco, TX, and Pat (Susan) of Plano, TX, and many favorite nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
