Thomas "Tom" Harvey Anderson, 96, of Elk Rapids, died Monday, April 26, 2021, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.  He was born October 22, 1924, in Detroit, the son of Arthur and Edna (Erkfitz) Anderson.

Tom owned and operated Aesthetic Dental Labs in Southfield.  He was a proud Freemason and Shriner, a member of the Zion Lodge #1 F&AM in Detroit, and a member of the Traverse City Elks Lodge #323.  Tom enjoyed warm weather, having spent many winters in Florida, boating, working with his hands, and spending time with his family.

On January 7, 1992, in Elk Rapids, Tom married Joanne Elaine Hoezee who survives him.  He is also survived by: his children; Darcee Harman of Brighton, Craig (Ann) Anderson of Granbury, Texas, and Curt (Dawn Vella) Anderson of Scottsdale, Arizona; stepchildren, Denise (Jon) Heeke of Elk Rapids and Don (Michelle) Hoezee of Elk Rapids; grandchildren, Aaron (Kristy) Taylor, Todd (Amanda) Taylor, Tyler (Alexis) Anderson, Nathan Anderson, Brandon (Amber) Darin, Paul Heeke, and Travis Hall; and many great-grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by: his parents; his brother, Arthur Anderson; and his stepdaughter, Diane Hall.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 30, 2021, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Elk Rapids Chapel, with the Reverend Sandra Murray officiating.  Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elk Rapids.  Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the funeral home.
