Obituary

Thomas "Tom" Edward Larson Sr., 74, of Whitehall, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at home.  He was born January 14, 1946, in Pontiac, the son of Walter and Katie (Sealey) Larson.

Tom served 7 years active duty in the US ARMY, and then served 20 more years in the Michigan National Guard as a Federal Technician.  Tom was an amazing master mechanic who could fix anything.  In his spare time, Tom enjoyed fishing, hunting flying, and building model airplanes.  He was also an avid antique coin collector.  Tom was a life member of the Algot Johnson American Legion Post #69 in Whitehall.

Tom is survived by: his children, Robert John Larson of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Terri Lynn (Jerry) Thomas of Whitehall, Nicki Jean (Jason) Shupp of Denver, Pennsylvania, and Thomas (Samantha) Larson Jr. of Whitehall; 10 grandchildren, Hannah, Gage, Zander, Piper, Lauren, Megean, Josh, Allison, Lane, and Carol; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, James (Mai) Larson, and Ernest (Andrea) Larson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by: his parents; and 2 sisters, Sue Fitch and Mary Jean Larson.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Oakhurst Cemetery, in Whitehall, with Pastor Tom Coffey officiating.  Military honors will be rendered under the auspices of the National Guard.
