Thomas Shawn McCoy "Tricky T" passed away peacefully on April 13, 2022, in Traverse City at the age of 63.  Thomas was born in Lansing, September 24, 1958.

He is survived by: his three brothers, Bryan, Todd, and Trey McCoy; his three children, Tommy, Jamie (Beard), and Ryan McCoy; his 10 grandchildren, Mia, Tommy, Collin, Vanessa, Tyryn, Kayla, Ava, Kayden, Kyler, and Callum; also, many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Mac McCoy; his mother, Sally Ann McCoy; and the mother of his children, Armandina Montalvo.

Tom was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He cherished his friendships and his family. Like any true Irishman, he was an amazing storyteller. He also had a knack for improvising nicknames for people on the spot. He loved concerts, dancing, and Rock-N-Roll music. Tom was also very proud of his Northside roots.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell – Traverse City Chapel, 232 E. State St. Traverse City, MI  49684.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
