Thomas Edward Peterson, 68, of Whitehall, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017.  Tom was born on May 31, 1949 to Verner and Jennie Peterson.

Tom worked in home construction most of his life. He graduated with honors from Michigan State University. Tom enjoyed coin collecting, gardening and was an all-around handy man. He was an intelligent, hard-working, kind-hearted son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Tom is survived by his father, Vern Peterson; sisters, Jeanne Peterson and Kathy (Gordon) Wagenmaker; niece, Kelly; nephew Eric (Kim); great nieces, Hayleigh and Felicity; great nephew, Karsen; cousins, Marsha, Melissa "Turtlellen," Becky and Bobbi.

He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, David; and his grandparents.

A private graveside service will take place at Oakhurst Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
