Thomas Jerome Race, 80, of Montague, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021. He was born March 31, 1940, in Muskegon, the son of Ray and Florence (Berry) Race.

We were blessed to have Tom as a husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle. He will be in our hearts forever and ever.

Tom is survived by: his wife, Juanita Race; sons, Kevin Race, Thomas (Milane) Race, and Matthew (Amber) Race; grandchildren, Alexys Race, Thomas Race, Conor Race, Caera Race, and Brianna Race; brothers and sisters, Chuck (Arlene) Race, Judy Race, Eleanor Norman, Paul (Betty) Race, and Janet Nykamp; brothers and sisters-in-law, Martin Vincent, Margaret (Ken) Heaton, and John (Kristi) Vincent; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Those that have gone on before us include: his parents, Ray and Florence Race; sister, Phyllis Booth; sister-in-law, Jean (John) Steinbeck; and brother-in-law, George (Janet) Vincent.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 26, 2021, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, MI 49461, with Chaplain Margaret Heaton officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, from 1:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mouth Cemetery in the spring.
