Thomas Harley West Jr. (Brotha Tom), 52, of Montague, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was born May 20, 1971, in Muskegon, the son of Thomas Harley West Sr. and Constance (Geistel) West.

Thomas worked as a self-employed carpenter, but his best talent was creating a safe space for others to feel love and joy. He was inspiring, joyful, effortlessly funny, and passionate about many things; but mostly about spreading love and good vibes.

Thomas enjoyed music festivals (Both building stages/exhibits and dancing to the music), time spent with family and friends, sunsets, animals, kayaking, and youth ministry.

Thomas was survived by: His girlfriend, Angie Smith and her daughter, Talia; his children, Kayla West, Lauren West, Danielle West and Elizabeth West; parents, Thomas West Sr. (Carol) and Connie White (Sam); his "sissy", Nicole West; other siblings, Sophia, Sammie, Lynn, and Bree; his best friend, Jeff Husiak; his beloved grandsons, Caiden and Swan; and his dog, Trouble.

Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Thomas West.

In accordance with Thomas's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
