Timothy Craw, 74, of Ludington, died early Sunday morning, Oct. 22, 2017 of a heart attack. He was born Sept. 14, 1943 in Lafayette, Indiana, to Charles Craw Sr. and Helen Maple Craw.
Tim was a graduate of Purdue University in West Lafayette. He was proud of his Purdue heritage, and was the second generation of his family to graduate from Purdue after his mother. His son, Justin and Justin's wife Lisa, were the third generation and his granddaughter, Madeline, is now a freshman at Purdue and will be the fourth generation to graduate from that university.
Following his graduation from Purdue, Tim worked in automotive aftermarket sales. His career took him to Chicago, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lake Orion, Michigan.
Tim's family spent many summers during his boyhood at Bass Lake and when he neared retirement he made the decision to move to Ludington.
Tim was an active member of Rotary International, Ludington Yacht Club, Ludington Boat Club and Lakeshore Parrot Head Club. He attended Grace Episcopal Church.
He will be deeply missed by his son, Justin (Lisa) Craw, grandchildren Madeline, Jonathon and Vincent Craw, all of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Charles (Sally) Craw of West Lafayette, Indiana, and his loving companion, Diane Nemitz. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him, as well as his first wife, Joanne Craw.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Craw Jr.; brother, Robert Craw; and his second wife, Julie Craw.
Funeral services for Timothy Craw are Nov. 1 at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Domingo "Mick" Shriver, celebrant. Visitation is at the church at 11 a.m. with the funeral Mass at noon followed by a luncheon at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society , Parent Project for Muscular Dystrophy , or Alzheimer's Association .
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, of Ludington is in charge of arrangements.
