Mrs. Velma June Herrygers, age 94, of Hart, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She was born December 12, 1919, in Ferry, Michigan, to Floyd and June (Lydens) Robinson. She graduated from Hart High School with the Class of 1937 and married August Herrygers, Sr. on September 9, 1937, in Hart. They were married sixty years before his passing on October 31, 1997. She was employed at Howmet as a grinder/finisher.

Velma is survived by three sons, Herbert Herrygers of Hart, Michigan, Robert (Joann) Herrygers of Land-o-Lakes, Florida, and Daniel (Kathy) Herrygers of Tampa, Florida; daughter-in-law, Judy Herrygers of Muskegon; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva Findlay of Hesperia, Connie McKinney of Lansing; three brothers, Norman (Shirley) Robinson of Muskegon, Manley Robinson of Mears, and Gene (MaryAnn) Robinson of St. Joseph; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, August Herrygers, Sr.; her son, August Herrygers, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Janet Herrygers; and two brothers, Ivan Robinson and Carlton Robinson.

The Memorial Service for Mrs. Herrygers will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at King Funeral Home in Hart with Pastor Rebecca Wieringa officiating. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Cherry Blossom Manor Activity Fund, 611 East Main Street, Hart, MI 49420.
