Mrs. Veneta Arabelle Lentz, age 91, of Hart, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Oceana County Medical Care Facility in Hart. She was born November 14, 1924, in Muskegon to John J. and Leona I. (Nelson) Kalsbeck. Veneta was married to Frank J. Willard in 1941; they were married for twenty-seven years before his passing in 1968. She later married Russell K. Lentz on November 7, 1970 in Pentwater; they were married for forty years before his passing on February 9, 2011. Veneta was a homemaker, farmer, house-keeper at Oceana Hospital, and factory worker at Star Watch Case. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hart; enjoyed sewing, cooking, family gatherings, loved to have coffee, home canning, parades at Homecoming, loved her pets, fishing, listening to weather reports for fishing, flower gardening, & watching finch birds. She was a loving, caring, person and was always concerned with her attire. Veneta is survived by two daughters, Janette Clark of Hart, Joan (Ronald) Haight of Muskegon, one son, Frank (Carla) Willard of Dearborn, MO; step-children, Suzanne Patterson of Whitehall, Wendy (Steven) Haney of Montague, Cindy Lentz of Whitehall; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, thirty great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Lorenabelle Wygant of Hesperia; numerous nieces and nephews; her companion and faithful friend, Harry Raymond of Pentwater; and her cat, Charlie. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frank J. Willard and Russell K. Lentz; sister, Nita Schultz; two brothers, Darrell Kalsbeck and Amos Kalsbeck; and one infant sister, Caroline Kalsbeck. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Lentz will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Hart with Pastor Mark Looman officiating. Interment will be in Pentwater Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 25 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the King Funeral Home in Hart. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the First Baptist Church of Hart, 3258 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, MI.
