Viola A. Hooker of Hesperia, age 96, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026 at her son’s home.

Viola was born to Earl and Ella (Case) Crysler on January 25, 1930 in Bitely. She married Donald Gleason August 9, 1947 and lived in Bitely. Then she married Fred Hooker and moved to Indiana.

She is survived by her loving children: Terry (Starr) Gleason of Hesperia, Dennis Gleason of Hesperia, Becky Tyler of Muskegon. Her legacy continues through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Viola’s death were her parents Earl and Ella Crysler, her children Lyle Gleason, Sheila Cole and Kevin Hooker; her brothers Lester, Clair, Raymond (Bud), Lyle, and Loren, her sisters Dorothy, Marjorie, and Gertrude.

Per her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
