Virginia McClennan, 90, of Hart, passed away December 6, 2023. She was born to Lucille and Herbert Hawley in 1933. Ginny grew up on the Hawley Farm, known today as the Colonial Golf Course.

In 1952, Ginny married Don McClennan and they had a wonderful marriage of 64 years, until Don's passing in 2016. For the first few years of marriage they lived in Lansing and Georgia before returning to Hart to raise three children. After a few years, Ginny also got started in her career at the Oceana School Employees Credit Union. She later discovered her true passion was in Real Estate. She found Coldwell Banker Anchor Real Estate and she spent 30 years as a Broker/Owner, helping many people find homes all over Oceana County.

Ginny and Don also started a scholarship fund in their late Michael McClennan's name, which were provided to Hart students for many years. Ginny was very proud of her accomplishments throughout her life, and she welcomed everyone with a smile.

Virginia is survived by: her daughters, Debra Cruz and Dana (Phill Hayes) Besemer; grandchildren, Josh (Shani) Gautreau, Rachel (Adam Noah) Gautreau, Nathan Besemer, and Maddeline (Curtise Tise) Besemer; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Haven, Jake Jr (Ryleigh), Audrey, River, Jaycee, and Saint; brother, John Hawley, and niece, Sandy Ziedler.

Ginny was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Michael McClennan; and grandson, Jake Besemer.

In accordance with Ginny's wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
