Mr. Wade Benjamin Gleason, age 27, of Hart, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013. He was born April 14, 1986, in Ludington to Steven and Pamela (Flanery) Gleason. He was a 2004 graduate of Hart High School and completed two years of study at the Full Sail Film Academy in Florida. Wade wrestled for the Hart Pirates while in high school; he also played baseball and golfed. He enjoyed reading and writing poetry, listening to music, and watching movies. He helped produce the movie "Transformers".
Wade is survived by his father, Steven (Kelli) Gleason and mother, Pamela (Steve) Contreras; two sisters, Jami (Krista) Contreras and Haley Gleason, both of Hart; two brothers, Ross (Beonica Gonzales) Gleason of Hart, and Chris Contreras of Grand Rapids; his grandparents, Robert (Caroline Ritter) Flanery of Walkerville and Jean Gleason of Hart; step-grandparents, Henry Contreras of Hart, Carol (Jerry) Thorne of Ludington, and Sharon Nile of Hart; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricia Flanery and Jerry Gleason and his great-grandparents.
The Memorial Service for Mr. Gleason will be Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at West Golden Wesleyan Church in Mears with Rev. Ron Rickard officiating. Interment will be in Elbridge Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service the church. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the King Funeral Home for funeral service expense.
