Walter Francis Willacker, 83, of Whitehall, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018.  Walter was born on June 15, 1934 to Henry and Helen Willacker.
Walter married Marilyn Anderson on June 25, 1955. Together they were blessed with 4 children and 62 years of marriage. Walter worked for Hooker Chemical and then later Howmet. He enjoyed fishing, camping, fixing and tinkering with equipment, touring Michigan, car rides around Duck Lake, gardening and yardwork. He was a happy loyal, honest hardworking man. What brought Walter the most joy and happiness was his family. He will be deeply missed.
Walter is survived by his wife Marilyn; children, Gene Willacker, Dan (Blanca) Willacker, Jack (Wanda) Willacker and Sharon (Mike) DeWall; grandchildren, Ruben Torrez, Ryan (Nichole), Kyle (Jentry) Tim (Casey) Bazany, Allyssa (Chris) Burch, Calandra Bazany, Nicole (Dewey) Bultsma and Katelyn DeWall; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Liam, Ethan, Isabella, Mia, Jenna, Lukas and 1 on the way; sisters, Fern Hendon and Lois Peterson; sister-in-law, Arlene Smith; and former daughter-in-law, Renee Willacker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard, Charles, Harold, Robert and Earl; and sisters, Lorraine, Marian and Mildred.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service-White Lake Chapel, 413 S. Mears Ave., Whitehall, MI, 49461 with Pastor Ken Arends officiating. The family will receive guests 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will take place in Oakhurst Cemetery in Whitehall.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
