Obituary

Wilbur (Bill) Anthony Mitchell, 74, of Kingsley, died in an automobile accident on Monday, November 22, 2021.  He was born October 17, 1947, to Ralph and Bernadine (Forward) Mitchell.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother and sister-in-law, George and Nancy Mitchell.
Bill lived his entire life on the Mitchell Centennial Farm and was a life-long member of St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church.  He graduated from St. Mary's of Hannah School in 1966.  In 1968, he married Leah (Joey) Babcock, the mother of his four children. He worked most of his adult life at Brown Lumber Company as a driver, delivery scheduler, and inventory  controller.  He served St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church throughout his life in various capacities from being an altar boy to working for the Credit Union. He had also been a member of the Wexford County mounted search and rescue team.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed gardening, horse riding, camping, fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle.  He was especially skilled at archery where he earned many accolades.  Other pastimes were bowling, woodworking, playing cards, playing electronic games, and watching old westerns.  He loved opportunities to take trips like hunting in Montana and Colorado, going to Mount Rushmore, and visiting his daughter in Washington, D.C.
Left to cherish his memory are his children -- Michelle (Aaron) Seiser, Monique (Shawn) Turner, William (Jessica) Mitchell, and Misty Miller.  His grandchildren are Theodore Miller, Sarah Miller, Mitchell Seiser, Payton Johns, Rhiannon Seiser, Lily Mitchell, Maya Turner, and Macy Turner.  His great-grandchildren are Levi and Lucas Nickles.  He also leaves a niece, Lisa (Paul) Bugajski and children, Maria, Dan, Annabella, Katie, and Grace; and a nephew, Mark (Nikki) Mitchell and children Destiny, Conner, and Robin.  He is terribly missed by his 13-year old Australian Shepherd, Molly.
