William James Conrad Cooke, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Bill was born on March 4, 1938, to Thomas and Blanche (Roit) Cooke.

In 1959 Bill married Darlene Soukup. Together they were blessed with 3 children and 58 years of marriage. Bill was well-educated earning two bachelor's degrees and his master's degree. He worked as a physical therapist most of his life. He enjoyed coaching boys little league, fishing and family vacations. He taught Sunday school at Grace Christian Church in Kankakee, IL, and later in life was on the praise team at Trinity Church in Watseka, IL. Bill was a caring, selfless, empathetic, generous "Dad to many" who strived to live a God honoring life and touching the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Bill is survived by: his wife, Darlene; children, Bill (Suzanne) Cooke of Hart, MI, Tom (Laura) Cooke of Bourbonnais, IL, and Dan (Sarah) Cooke of Muskegon, MI; grandchildren, Amy (Kyle) Dee, Andrew (Kelly) Cooke, Anna (Justin) Jones, Aric (Roberta) Cooke, Megan (Kyle) Joern, Jacob (Danielle) Cooke, Lindsay Cooke, Brian (Jennifer Rubin) Cooke, Molly Cooke and Jason (Anna May) Cooke; and great-grandchildren, Rorey and Kiera Dee, Jordy and Jace Jones, and Connor Cooke.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Bill's life will be conducted at 6:00 PM, Friday, June 1, 2018, at Trinity Church, 1658 E. Walnut, Watseka, IL. The family will receive guests 1 hour prior to the start of the service. A private celebration will also take place in Whitehall, MI.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Church Youth Ministry.
