William "Bill" Edward Medendorp, 85, of Whitehall, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at SKLD Whitehall.  He was born May 16, 1935, in Muskegon, the son of Jerry and Cornelius (Westernhouse) Medendorp.

Bill served in the US ARMY and was honorably discharged in 1959.  He was employed as a machine operator at Sealed Power, in Muskegon, for over 30 years until his retirement.  In his spare time, Bill enjoyed spending time by the campfire at the cottage on the Betsie River, and an occasional trip to the casino with his wife, Bonnie.

Bill was proud to be a member of the Muskegon Vikings and the White Lake Eagles.

On January 25, 1963, Bill married Bonnie Anderson, who survives him.  He is also survived by: his sons, Kip (Ingram) Medendorp of Spring Lake, and Kurt (Barbara) Medendorp of Whitehall; his granddaughter, Kiley Medendorp; and his grandson, Dylan Medendorp.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
