William "Bill" John Hockett, 77, passed away peacefully with his siblings by his side on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Paul Oliver Long Term Care Facility in Frankfort, Michigan.

Bill was born December 12, 1945, in Traverse City, Michigan, to Alfred and Pearl Hockett.  In 1969 the family moved to Frankfort where he lived the rest of his life.

He is survived by: one daughter, Lana Hockett; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Larry) McCallister, David (Yvonne) Hockett, Peter Hockett, Karen Moon, and Sharon Gilmer; and many nieces and nephews.

Although Bill was a private person, he had many friends and valued time with family.  He especially enjoyed the summers when the family would congregate at his house for vacation time.

Per Bill's request no service will be planned.
