William "Bill" Joseph Merten, 65, of Hart, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 7, 2021, at home. He was born July 11, 1956, in Hart, the son of Joseph and Mary (Kokx) Merten.

Bill is survived by: his wife, Kimberlee; 2 daughters; 2 sons; 2 sisters; 4 brothers; and 11 very loved grandkids.

Bill was preceded in death by: his parents; and brother.

Born and raised in Oceana County, he was known by many and loved by all.

A time to celebrate Bill's life will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel in Hart, with open sharing from 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM.  Graveside services will be held in the spring with a luncheon on the farm to raise a glass to Bill and as he would say, enjoy seeing the grass from the green side up.
