In Loving Memory of William (Bill) P. Romska, age 71, of Elk Rapids, who passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter at his side on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Bill graduated from Howell High School in 1968. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, serving eight years active duty and 22 years with the reserves, retiring in July of 2001. He also worked in IT for the Burroughs Corporation, which became UNISYS, for 20 years. Bill worked in IT at Trinity for five years, retiring in 2014.

Bill enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time at the lake with his family. His passion in retirement was to serve his fellow veterans. In that capacity he served as AMVETS Post Commander in Elk Rapids, served in the Honor Guard, and held officer positions in both State and National AMVETS.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years Kay (Waterman) Romska and two daughters, Kelly (Jeffrey) Gaver and Jennifer (Bud) Foley-Munro. He has six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Elk Rapids AMVETS post later this year.
