Obituary

Mr. William K. "Bud" Schultz, age 87, of Hart, died Sunday October 26, 2008. He was born January 31, 1921 in Claybanks Township, Oceana County, to Charles and Gertrude (Baker) Schultz. He married the former Margaret Bell in1946 in Oceana County. Bud was employed as the plant manager at Stokley's for 45 years, retiring in 1986. Bud also hobby farmed on the Jerry Spencer Farms. His interests included being an avid bingo player. He was very proud of his military service to his country, serving in the U.S. Army during W.W. II in the Battle of the Bulge and the Aleutian Islands. Bud very much enjoyed his family, especially his great grandsons. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Linke of Hart; granddaughter, Michelle (Mark) Cramer of Stanwood, MI; great grandsons, Bryan, Nic, and Donovan Cramer; nephew, Jerry (Judy) Spencer of Hart. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret in 1977; brother, Art Schultz; sisters, Leona Sneider and Eleanore Day; son in law, Virgil Linke. The Memorial Service for Bud will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home with Pastor Lorraine Boucon officiating. Interment will be in the Hart Cemetery with full Military Rites by the Hart VFW Post 1329. A Gathering for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Oceana County Medical Care Facility or the Hart VFW Post 1329.
