Mrs. Wilma W. DePeel, age 93 of Hart, died Friday July 4, 2008. She was born in Hart on March 27, 1915 to Wilman and Mary Elizabeth (Raby) Leach. Mrs. DePeel was a graduate of Walkerville High School. She married Alex DePeel on August 20, 1932 in LaGrange, IN and he preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. DePeel was employed as a nursing assistant at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Flanery of Rockford, MI; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; her daughter in law Mary DePeel of Walkerville; several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband Alex, she was preceded in death by her son James DePeel, grandson John DePeel; 3 brothers James, Dale and Thurell Leach; 2 sisters Leah Littiebrant and Clarabell Wellman. In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned. Interment in Fairlawn Cemetery, Walkerville. Memorials contributions may be given to Harbor Hospice.
