IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Ann
Walker
July 23, 1925 – May 29, 2019
Barbara Ann (Stenberg) Walker, 93, of Hart, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at Mercy Health – Mercy Campus, in Muskegon. She is now with her spirit in the sky. Barb was born July 23, 1925, in Muskegon, the daughter of Leonard and Mary Helen Stenberg.
Barb graduated from Holton High School, but had very fond memories of her years at Bunker Elementary School in Muskegon.
Barb really loved her view from her deck, on Hart Lake, while listening to Neil Diamond and sipping a Manhattan. She had a beautiful lust for life with a humorous outlook that all ages valued.
Barb was a restaurant owner of Walker's Fine Dining for 32 years. She was a real estate agent for years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her talents were many, but she shined bright at cooking, painting, gardening, and knitting.
Barb is survived by: her only living sibling, Ardis Liddle of Muskegon; children, Beverly (Johnny) McDonald of Texas, Karolyn (Eric Helmkamp) Walker of Hart, William D. (Stevie Kinstner) Walker III of Shelby, and Janet Veine of Pentwater; son-in-law, Mark Babinec; grandchildren, Matthew (Paula) Stovall of Texas, Melissa Stovall of Muskegon, Nikki (Brett) Walser of Texas, Anna (Mark) Wassa of Grand Traverse County, Ben (Nikki) Babinec of Byron Center, Lindsay (Jay) Franz of Ludington, LeAnna (David Noble) Waker of Shelby, Adrianna Walker of Grand Rapids, Brock (Cullen Newstead) Buozis of Grand Rapids, Drew Buozis of Grand Rapids, and Jacob Veine of Pentwater; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her three cats with big personalities, Lola, Coco, and Big Boy; and her special friend, Facebook.
Barb was preceded in death by: her daughter, Nancy Babinec; brothers, Clyde, Carl, and Chuck Stenberg; and sister, Mary Jane Curry, all of Muskegon.
Barb left this world a very beloved lady by all who ever met her. She was one tough Swede.
