Basic Cremation Option – $1,575

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service offers a straightforward cremation option for families who want only the essentials. Pricing details are outlined separately and include:

Local transfer from place of death into our care (60 mile radius)
Minimum fiberboard container required by the crematory
Gathering vital information and filing the death certificate
A short death notice written by the director and posted on our website (families may write and email longer notices/obituaries for posting)
Cremation permit
Crematory fee
Notification of death to Social Security
Return of ashes in a blue plastic container
Notice once the death certificate has been filed so certified copies may be requested from the county clerk
Email communication with the director/arranger*
Release of ashes within two weeks of payment and return of the cremation authorization

What This Option Does Not Include:

Help with writing or submitting obituaries
Help with life insurance or veterans benefits
Filling of family-provided urns or keepsakes
Certified copies of death certificates
In-person appointments
Phone calls*
